We are absolutely thrilled to announce that former DSHS student, Laluca Banister-Jones, has achieved a remarkable feat by securing a place in the highly competitive BA Musical Theatre course at the prestigious Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) for 2026.
A Star Shines Bright
Luca was a truly outstanding Drama student during their time at DSHS, gracing the stage in numerous school productions. Their talent and dedication were evident in every performance, captivating audiences and inspiring fellow students.
An Audacious Achievement
The BA Musical Theatre course at WAAPA is renowned for its selectivity, attracting approximately 1000 applicants each year. From this pool, only 600 potential candidates are invited to audition across all capital cities, with a mere 18 places ultimately offered. This makes Luca's acceptance an extraordinary accomplishment and a testament to their exceptional skill and hard work.
