Music Program

A musical community since the 2000s

The Denmark SHS Music Program is an expressive, creative area offering the opportunity to expand and develop practical instrumental and theoretical skills. Denmark is a musical and artistic community that boasts a wide range of musical achievements — home to many accomplished professional performers and songwriters.

DSHS has had a long and strong commitment to music since the 1960s when the first concert band in the state was started with a kind donation of money specifically for music instruments. Our IMSS (Instrumental Music School Services) program — woodwind, brass, percussion, voice and guitar — keeps this tradition alive while embracing a contemporary approach.

"Music Education is an integral part of any child's development — proven to stimulate different parts of the brain and help students achieve more across all areas at school."
