Denmark Senior High School proudly took a team of eight students to the Great Southern Secondary Schools Chess Competition, where they performed exceptionally well against strong competition from a range of schools.
The event was contested over seven rounds in a Swiss-format tournament, featuring 40 competitors. Denmark SHS finished just two points behind first place, an outstanding result that reflects the skill and determination of the team.
Outstanding Individual Result
Rafael Petruszka achieved an excellent second-place finish overall. His only loss came against the undefeated tournament winner, highlighting the strength of his performance throughout the competition.
